Festival of Crafts

Saturday 16  & Sunday 17 October 2010

This two day annual event is a major craft festival, showcasing over 75 leading designer makers. The festival is recognised by Arts Council South East as one of the premier craft events in the region, and offers a wide variety of innovative, contemporary craft.

I'll be exhibiting work from my existing collection as well as some new, exciting pieces, so make sure to come and say hello if you're in the area and see what I've been up to!

It should be a great weekend, and who knows, you may even find a few early Christmas presents...

Just a quick note to say that my collection is now being stocked by loveone, a really gorgeous, quirky little shop on St. Peters Street in Ipswich. If you're wondering down there one of these sunny afternoons, make sure you pop in for a visit and check out their unusual gifts and homewares!

Last weekend (June 12th & 13th) I took part in the Woodbridge Weekender in Suffolk, a really interesting and friendly event with loads of lovely goodies for sale. It was the first chance I've had to promote and sell my new collection directly to the public, which was great as I got to talk to people about the inspiration behind it- the bowerbird and it's intriguing treasure hoarding habits. I also had fun setting up my stall in the style of a curiosity cabinet, using an old museum case to display my own unusual, delicate creations.

It was lovely to receive so many positive comments on what I've been doing as well, so a big thanks to everyone who let me know their thoughts (and of course to those who bought a piece of the collection)!

I'll be updating the site with more photos of current work over the next few weeks, as well as some new, special pieces. I'll also be  adding a few new stockists and future shows I'm taking part in, so watch this space!
